Salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan adalah melakukan edukasi dengan memanfaatkan media seperti buku. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi menggunakan buku MP-ASI berbasis pangan lokal di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Biromaru Kabupaten Sigi Jenis penelitian ini pre eksperimen design dengan pre-post test. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh populasi yakni ibu yang memiliki baduta 3 kurang berjumlah 27 responden. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan uji Paired Sampel t-test Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pengetahuan ibu baduta saat pre-test yaitu 58,7 sedangkan rata-rata nilai pengetahuan ibu baduta saat post-tes yaitu 81,1. Selisih skor nilai rata-rata pre-post test yaitu 22,47. Berdasarkan uji Paired Sampel t-test menunjukan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna antara hasil pre-test dan post-test yaitu ditandai dengan p value sebesar 0.000 (0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media buku MP-ASI berbasis pangan lokal berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu baduta tentang MP-ASI dari bahan mentah dan matang.
